Latvia’s Nr 1 summer adventure race – LAR 2009 - will take place on July 31 – August 2 in hilly region of eastern Latvia. Divisions: Expert (36 hours), Sport (24 hours) and Fun (6 hours) Team: 3 members, mixed Assistance: + 1 assistant (for Expert teams), which follows by car attending exchange zones Sport and Fun division teams will have access to extra equipment left in Race centre. Race format: stages Disciplines: paddling, trekking, biking, swimming, orienteering, special tasks Navigation: orienteering by map and legends Checkpoints: SPORTident electronic control system (SI card attached to every team member!)
